FIGES
TechNet Alliance Member from Turkey
FIGES,
founded in 1990, is the leading CAE company in Turkey having the main office
in Bursa, and branch offices in Ankara and Istanbul. The company is
providing high quality finite element software products and related
engineering services to research and product development departments of
industry companies. In 2003, FIGES was declared as “Preferred Analysis
Supplier” by Fleetguard Inc. (Cummins Group).
FIGES has been offering ANSYS Multiphysics, ANSYS CFX, ICEM CFD along with other complementary software products such as TOSCA, modeFRONTIER, LS-DYNA, RecurDyn, FEMFAT, DEFORM.
In addition to finite element technology, FIGES is also dealing with system simulation technology using MATLAB&SIMULINK. Systems comprise components or subsystems, which can be treated using finite element techniques. System simulation enables us to encapsulate subsystems and treat them as inseparable entities that can be incorporated in a hierarchical fashion within the system itself, where MATLAB & Simulink lets you quickly create, model, and maintain a detailed block diagram of your system using a comprehensive set of predefined blocks. This approach considerably reduces development and simulation time.
Training
Offering training classes on various levels and subjects to increase user’s efficiency is a major commitment of FIGES. To increase the quality of our own and the customers’ staff, the company has been organizing extensive training courses under the title “Summer School for Advanced Engineering Techniques” for selected young mechanical engineers, who have just graduated from their universities. These courses are being held since 1999 and their content consists theory, software training and applications. The theoretical part covers FEA Fundamentals, CFD, Multibody Simulation, Explicit Dynamics, and Nonlinearities in FEA, Experimental Modal Analysis and Optimization. The theoretical part is being conducted in a close cooperation with leading universities of Turkey.
FIGES is an
active member of the project “European School of Computer Aided Engineering Technology”, which is a master program funded by Leonardo da Vinci program of EU and addressing primarily CAE engineers working in the industry.
