Welcome to this free seminar on simulation-based development by MathWorks & FIGES! During the day, the value of desktop simulation for system and control design in the MATLAB/Simulink platform will be demonstrated. Well-known benefits are shortening of development process, reduction of time-to-market and enhanced innovation. Special attention will be given to multi-domain simulation (electric, mechanic, thermal, hydraulic…) for building up models that can be reused for Hardware in the Loop testing. System, control, test engineers as well as project managers and team leaders with methodology in focus are warmly invited to attend.

Biography :

Juan Sagarduy was born in Bilbao (Spain) in June 1977. He graduated in MSc Industrial Engineering (2002) at Escuela Superior de Ingenieria Industrial (Bilbao, Spain). Following a traineeship at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Lausanne, Switzerland), he went on to graduate as PhD Electrical Engineering (Cardiff, United Kingdom). From 2007 to 2011, he worked as Scientist at ABB Corporate Research Centre (Västerås, Sweden) in the area of Electric Machines & Motion Control. Since august 2011, Juan has been working as application engineer at MathWorks where he has provided expertise in multi-domain physical simulation to customers across several branches (Industrial automation, Automotive, Energy Production, Academic...).
