Domestic design of Underwater Defense War and Exploration Patrol Ships which will perform exploration, observation, target determination, recognition and approval, early warning duties, defense of base and harbor, underwater defense war, over water war, amphibious assault and patrol activities, have been started. It is aimed to reduce foreign dependency in ship design, boat building and system integration by providing maximum national contribution in building and supplying. Similarly, by integration of ship design and building abilities of private sector and military shipyards, it is aimed to supply private sector with necessary information, experience and background in warship building.
Cooperation with MILGEM Project Office has been started with 3D global structural analyses of Corvette type Heybeliada Ship. In the project which began in March 2006 and is going on, while building finite element model, synchronously application and principles document in the control of Turk Lloyd has been prepared. In the current situation, global and local structural analyses are in the last stage.
Another project for MILGEM project is digital modeling of underwater explosion shock. In this project, analyses of the ship which is designed to be resistant to determined keel shock factor, have been performed.
FIGES A.S. also carries out design and analyses of all air intake and exhaust systems of MILGEM ship. Workings of this project are also in the last stage.
